What Our Guests Say About Sea-Renity

As we welcome the bright, breezy days of June here in Sidmouth, there is a wonderful buzz around town. Summer has officially arrived, the promenade is looking glorious, and we are busy preparing the house for our warm-weather visitors. There is nothing that brings us more joy as holiday home owners than knowing our guests have had a brilliant time. Although this review was from a stay in late December, we wanted to share it.

The wonderful review read: “The house was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. It’s in a great location tucked away behind the historic Radway Cinema, ideal for the high street, and a short walk to the sea front. The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious with two ovens which were ideal for cooking Christmas lunch. Recommended.”

Reading comments like this reminds us exactly why we love opening our doors to visitors. The guest perfectly captured what we feel makes Sea-Renity such a special place to stay, no matter the time of year. Being situated just behind the historic Radway Cinema means we are incredibly lucky with our location. We sit on a quiet residential road, yet you are just moments away from the vibrant high street. In fact, our handy back gate leads to a passage that brings you even closer to the fantastic independent shops, cafes, and pubs.

At any time of the year, being able to stroll into town without worrying about the car is an absolute joy. It is just a flat, six-minute walk to the seafront, meaning you can easily spend your days enjoying safe swimming, exploring the Jurassic Coast, or simply relaxing on the beach. And because we offer guaranteed off-street driveway parking for two cars—something of a rarity in the centre of Sidmouth—you can leave the vehicles safely behind for the duration of your stay.

A Kitchen Made for Feasting

We were especially thrilled to read that our guests found the kitchen ideal for cooking a full Christmas lunch. Putting on a massive holiday roast is the ultimate test of any self-catering accommodation! While we might be swapping winter roasts for summer salads right now, that same spacious, open-plan kitchen is just as brilliant during the warmer months.

The large central island serves as a fantastic breakfast bar where the whole family can gather in the morning. You can pop a pod into the Dulce Gusto machine, throw open the double doors to the garden, and plan your day in the fresh coastal air. Whether you are packing a massive picnic to take to the upcoming Honiton Show in August, or preparing a relaxed family supper for the Summer Bank Holiday weekend, having two electric ovens, a gas hob, and a dishwasher to handle the clearing up makes holiday catering an absolute breeze.

Your Home Away From Home

Ultimately, our main goal is to provide a spotlessly clean and deeply comfortable base for your East Devon adventures. After a long day walking the riverside paths or exploring nearby villages like Beer and Branscombe, returning to a welcoming home makes all the difference. Our enclosed rear garden is a genuine sun trap at this time of year, offering a peaceful spot to sit with a glass of wine while the beach towels dry on the rotary line.

Inside, the cosy lounge with its large Smart TV is perfect for unwinding, and with three beautifully furnished bedrooms sleeping up to six guests, there is plenty of space for everyone to recharge. We take great pride in making sure every detail is spot on, so you can focus entirely on making wonderful seaside memories.

If you are tempted by a coastal escape this summer or are already planning ahead for a peaceful autumn break, we would absolutely love to welcome you. Please do take a look at our availability and book your next stay at Sea-Renity—your comfortable, convenient home right in the heart of Sidmouth.
